Job Description:

Azuria is seeking a motivated college student with a strong work ethic to join our summer internship program as a Financial Operations intern with our Finance and Operations teams, reporting directly to the Vice President, Group CFO. Throughout the program, interns will benefit from close mentorship and engaging hands-on activities, enabling them to obtain real-world experience and develop a solid foundation of the controller function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Analysis: Analyze the company’s financial performance through preparation and review of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Communicate financial results to key stakeholders
• Understand main drivers of performance
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Supports the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts by working with stakeholders within the business and understanding project flows and timelines.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special finance projects and initiatives as needed, providing valuable contributions to the team.
• Attend and participate in branch meetings including staff meetings, MOR’s, forecasts and other meetings as deemed necessary.
• Work with Ops, Finance and Sales to understand and analyze backlog, revenues and market trends.

Requirements:

Basic Requirements:

•  Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
•  Completed basic/entry level Business Management and Financial Accounting courses
•  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
•  Strong oral and written communication skills
•  Basic understanding of accounting principles
•  Ability to work in team environment
•  Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
•  Ability to work with cross-functional business partners
•  Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
•  Ability to multitask

Preferred Requirements:

•  Preferred Junior or Senior level completion of program
•  Currently pursuing a concentration in construction or related field
•  Located near an Azuria operating location
