ACCOUNTING & FINANCE INTERN, SUMMER 2023  

100% onsite


The intern will assist the CFO and Controller with day-to-day finance tasks, including but not limited to data entry, account reconciliations, and invoice processing. This person will also assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist with preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Help in maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment follow-ups.
  • Participate in the month-end closing activities, which may include reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries.
  • Perform data entry tasks and ensure data accuracy in accounting systems.
  • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Conduct basic financial analysis as directed by senior accountants.
  • Learn and apply accounting principles and company procedures.
  • Live the company culture of integrity, teamwork, self-discipline, and professional competence.
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Education: 

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time academic program at an accredited college or university. 
  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Working Conditions/Hours/Location:  

This role is an hourly position, and the intern will be required to work at least 20-25 hours per week during the summer. The start date and duration of the internship are flexible depending on availability, with a minimum commitment of 8 weeks.

Physical Demands – Office and Manufacturing Environment 

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and pull/push; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 

 

Work Environment  

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines. 

The base pay is just one part of CelLink's total compensation package and is determined within a range. The pay range is designed to support your career progression as you learn, grow, and develop within your role. Your base pay range will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
