We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our growing team. This internship is an excellent opportunity to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world corporate finance. You will work closely with our Accountants and Finance Manager, gaining hands-on exposure to daily financial operations, month-end closing processes, and financial analysis within a successful Swiss scale-up.
Your main responsibilities:
- Accounting Support: Assist the finance team with daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, including data entry, invoice matching, and processing employee expenses.
- Reconciliations: Help perform weekly and monthly bank, credit card, and platform reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Month-End Assistance: Support the team during the month-end closing process by preparing standard journal entries and gathering necessary documentation.
- Data Management & Analysis: Help maintain clean financial databases. Assist in preparing data for management reports, KPI tracking, and ad-hoc financial analysis using Excel.
- Process Improvement: Bring a fresh perspective! Assist in identifying inefficiencies and help draft documentation for internal finance procedures.
- Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support to the Finance department as needed, including organizing financial files for audit readiness.
Requirements
Education: Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (e.g., HEC, HEG, or equivalent).
Technical Skills: * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (you are comfortable with VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and basic formulas).
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
- Previous exposure to accounting software or ERPs is a plus, but not required.
Languages: Fluency in French and English is required (both written and spoken). A working knowledge of German is a great bonus.

Skills Required
- Graduate or student in Finance, Economics or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with Power Query is a strong plus
- Knowledge of Dynamics, Precoro or any accounting tool is an advantage
- Fluent in French and English
- Good German skills are a significant plus
