Finance Head

We are looking for a seasoned and visionary Finance Head to lead all financial operations, strategy, and governance at ekincare. This is a senior leadership role that goes beyond accounting — you will be a key business partner to the CEO, Board, and investors, shaping the financial future of one of India's fastest-growing health benefits platforms.

ekincare works with hundreds of corporate clients in simplifying their health benefits strategy and administration, by integrating with thousands of healthcare service providers in the backend. As Finance Head, you will bring financial rigor, investor-grade thinking, and a product-centric approach to driving scale, profitability, and capital efficiency.

•       2Mn+ users utilizing 20+ healthcare services in 400+ cities

•       An average of 4K invoices generated monthly

•       1000+ corporate clients billing for sponsored & non-sponsored healthcare services

•       Navigating a high-growth, Series C environment with investor scrutiny and board accountability

•       Leading a cross-functional finance team across controllership, FP&A, legal, and compliance

•       Ability to lead and mentor high-performing finance teams with a culture of ownership

•       Ability to manage and build investor relations with credibility and transparency

Financial Strategy & Leadership

•       Define and drive the overall financial strategy aligned with the company's growth and fundraising roadmap

•       Partner with the CEO and leadership team to shape business strategy through financial insights

•       Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans, capital structure, and runway management

•       Analyze and present financial reports and forecasts to the Board of Directors on a periodic basis

Investor Relations

•       Own and manage investor relations — build trust through proactive, transparent financial communication

•       Lead preparation of investor decks, board packs, MIS reports, and due diligence documentation

•       Work closely with existing investors and lead financial preparation for future fundraising rounds

•       Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions

Financial Planning & Analysis

•       Coordinate with the FP&A team and data analysts to drive financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling

•       Track company performance against forecasts; collaborate with HODs to identify and overcome risks

•       Lead budgeting, cash flow management, and financial risk assessment

Controllership & Compliance

•       Manage client billing — ensuring accurate and timely billing with a focus on reducing corrections, credit notes, and customer queries

•       Manage the payables function — ensuring timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices

•       Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations

•       Oversee all audit and internal control operations

•       Oversee the Legal, Secretarial, and Compliance functions of the organization

•       Working knowledge of acquisitions and consolidation of financials

Team Leadership

•       Build, lead, and mentor a world-class finance team across controllership, FP&A, taxation, legal, and compliance

•       Foster a high-ownership, high-performance culture within the finance function

•       Set KPIs for the team and drive accountability against outcomes

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience:

•       Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) — must have cleared the CA examination before 2021, with 17–19 years of total post-qualification experience

•       Minimum 3–5 years in a Finance Head / CFO / VP Finance role with full ownership of the finance function

•       Proven experience in a Series C funded startup or Pre/Post-IPO company environment — mandatory

•       Strong background in fast-growing startup environments with a demonstrated culture of high ownership and accountability

•       Demonstrated experience in investor relations — managing existing investors and supporting new fundraising rounds

•       Deep expertise in business finance — unit economics, SaaS/health-tech metrics, revenue modeling, and growth KPIs

•       In-depth knowledge of finance controls, corporate finance, accounting principles, laws, and best practices

•       Proven team leadership skills — experience building and scaling finance teams of 5+ people

•       Working knowledge of acquisitions, mergers, and consolidation of financials

•       Strong leadership acumen with a strategic mindset and board-level communication skills
