Job Summary:
The Finance Functional Process Engineer (FPE) owns the functional design, configuration and continuous improvement of finance ERP solutions, ensuring that system capabilities support scalable, controlled and compliant finance operations.
Working hand in hand with the Business Process Engineer (BPE), the FPE translates approved future-state process designs and business requirements into practical ERP solutions. The BPE leads end-to-end process design and standardization, while the FPE leads functional solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Key Job Responsibilities and duties:
- Own the functional design and lifecycle of finance ERP solutions across finance modules, ensuring alignment with finance policies, IFRS, statutory requirements and internal controls.
- Partner with the BPE to understand current-state pain points and approved future-state processes, then assess ERP fit, gaps, dependencies and solution options.
- Convert business requirements and process designs into ERP functional specifications, configuration designs, reports, interfaces, workflows, roles and control requirements.
- Work with IT, implementation partners and cross-functional stakeholders to configure or enhance ERP functionality and coordinate integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
- Lead functional testing activities, including test scenarios, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution and traceability from requirement through deployment.
- Support data migration, cutover, user training and change readiness; maintain functional documentation and provide post-go-live support, root-cause analysis and solution optimisation

Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Systems or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle Finance ERP functional consulting, implementation, enhancement or application support
- Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Financials and core finance modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Cash Management
- Working knowledge of ERP configuration concepts, finance master data, workflows, reporting, interfaces, access roles and automated controls
- Ability to translate finance requirements and BPE-led process designs into clear functional specifications, solution options and testable acceptance criteria
- Experience preparing functional design documents, test scripts and test evidence, and supporting system integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover and go-live.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to distinguish process, configuration, data and integration issues
- Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with BPEs, finance users, IT teams and implementation partners.
