Job DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Finance Executive
LOCATION: Malaysia (Puchong)
REPORTING LINE: Finance Director/Regional Finance Business Partner
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: You work as part of an office-based finance team to support all finance activities within the Singapore and Malaysia business and potential future footprint expansion in SEA region.
- Accounting: Carry out the day-to-day Finance bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities in AP, AR and GL such as AP, AR data entries processing, credit management, vendor management & employee expenses payment processing, collection, bank reconciliation, GL & Fixed Assets management with journals preparation, reconciliations, adjustments and others.
- Intercompany Transactions: Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions across various entities.
- Financial Reporting: Support in preparing and maintaining monthly management accounts, financial statements, financial related reports and forecast updating via SAP system, uploading financial data into organization’s accounting systems
(Other systems or dashboard in use: One Stream, Info-Tech, Qlik)
- Budgeting: support in data collection from divisions, input and prepare budget templates inclusive of cost allocation processes for management discussion and submission/uploading budget templates following Global timeline and instructions
- Audit and Tax Support: Support in providing requested data and reports to ensure audit results, direct and indirect tax returns and submission are carried out timely and accurately.
- Cash Flow Management: prepare and update cash flow template as assigned
- Process Improvement: identify areas of improvement, standardization and automation on daily tasks, develop and document DTPs and participate in automation or system enhancement projects to improve process efficiency
- Taking active role in any Global driven Finance related restructuring or transformation initiatives
- Ad-hoc Financial Related Tasks: actively participate in any ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior inclusive systems testing to ensure projects completed within project timeline
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma, Degree or Professional Certificate in Accounting or Finance related field
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial finance function or shared service environment
- Technical Skills: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SAP Finance modules, strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, knowledge of One Stream will be an added advantage
- Soft Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders; come with customer service mindset to support internal clients effectively
- A strong team player, self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently in agile and fast-paced environment
- Language literacy: Good verbal and written communication in English
- Mobility: Willingness to travel approximately 10% - 20% within SEA
