REPORTING LINE: Finance Director/Regional Finance Business Partner.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: You work as part of an office-based finance team to support all finance activities within the Singapore and Malaysia business.
- Accounting: support the Finance department in carrying out the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities in AP, AR and GL such as data entries, vendor & employee expenses payment processing, bank reconciliation, GL journals preparation and others.
- Financial Reporting: prepare and maintain monthly and yearly full set accounts, financial statements, financial related reports and forecast updating via SAP system, uploading of financial data into organization’s accounting systems, reconcile mismatch wherever needed during systems integration, retrieve system reports from the accounting system for management use.
- Budgeting: initiate data collection from divisions, prepare budget templates for management discussion and submission/uploading budget templates following Global timeline and instructions.
- Audit and Tax Support and Compliance: Co-ordinate and liaise with Auditors and Tax Agent, provide requested data and reports to ensure audit results, direct and indirect tax returns and submission are carried out timely and accurately.
- Cash Flow Management: prepare and update cash flow template as and when needed
- Process Improvement: identify areas of improvement, standardization and automation on daily tasks to improve department efficiency
- Ad-hoc Financial Tasks: participate actively in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing when needed.
- Education: Diploma or ACCA equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general finance function
- Financial Software: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in SAP finance function, knowledge of One Stream will be an added advantage
- Language literacy: Good verbal and written communication in English. Knowledge in Chinese & Cantonese is a bonus.
- Team player, self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
- Display initiative and ability to work/interact with stakeholders in solving financial issues
