So, with that in mind, we are looking for a new Finance Director to join our team of go-getters and realise the full value of their skills!

• Lead Airtasker’s finance function across Reporting & Compliance and FP&A, reporting to the CFO.

• Drive strategic financial planning and provide commercial insights to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.

• Ensure compliance with ASX and international statutory reporting requirements, and oversee external audit processes.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making and performance monitoring.

• Develop and manage a robust finance business partnering model to align operational performance with strategic objectives.

• Oversee capital allocation, treasury operations, and risk management to optimise financial health and enhance shareholder value.

• Champion continuous improvement in financial systems, controls, and automation initiatives.

• Act as a technical authority on complex accounting matters, including share-based payments and goodwill valuation.

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team with a focus on development, performance management, and succession planning.

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, budget holders, auditors, and regulators to uphold governance and drive business value.

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years’ post-qualification experience and strong technical accounting expertise, ideally Big 4 trained.

• Proven leadership experience within ASX-listed or high-growth environments, with a solid grasp of financial reporting requirements.

• Deep understanding of financial planning, forecasting, modelling, and performance management in scale-up or fast-paced settings.

• Skilled in managing both financial reporting and FP&A functions, with a track record of driving business performance.

• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and support executive decision-making.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information for non-financial audiences.

• Experienced in using financial systems such as NetSuite and Workday Adaptive; committed to continuous system and process improvement.

• Outstanding leadership and people management capabilities, with a focus on coaching, development, and high team performance.

• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the resilience to operate effectively in dynamic, ambiguous, and high-pressure environments.

• Collaborative and curious mindset, committed to governance, innovation, and delivering long-term business value.
