This position is responsible for leading the financial operations of Comirnaty Adult in the US and will operate as finance business partner to the US Comirnaty Commercial Lead.
Comirnaty is one of the top selling brands within Vaccines portfolio, which delivered ~$2.2Bn revenue in 2023. Since last year, it has been launched in commercial channels, following the pandemic phase and contracting business.
This Finance Director role will report to Vaccines Finance Lead and will be located in NYHQ or Collegeville.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic business finance support to the US Comirnaty Commercial team and key stakeholders
- Provide financial leadership on business initiatives that unlock business value across assigned commercial teams to maximize results while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies
- Establish effective working relationships with internal and external business partners and provide financial leadership, business consultation, and analytical support to the Pfizer commercial teams
- Lead all finance related aspects of the alliance with BioNTech on a global basis, including -but not only- monthly & quarterly reporting, gross profit calculations, lead joint finance committee with Commercial Finance/PGS representatives of both companies
- Provide performance reporting, generating weekly and monthly reporting, as needed, for brand leads and US senior leadership
- Create, maintain, and update the US sales models for assigned products for Operating Plan, LE forecasts and other specific scenarios according to latest market developments and trends
- Partner with Managed Markets Finance on key GTN assumptions and actual analytics for the brands. Perform periodic GTN variance analysis
- Lead together with Contracting and Commercial team the retail and non-retail contracting strategy, performing financial analysis by customer/channel in order to maximize value proposition to customers
- Submission of all FP&A, Controllers and US finance deliverables for Comirnaty such as Lighthouse forecast submissions, monthly VEP submissions, external reporting disclosures, etc.
- Provide analysis and insight into brand P&L performance (i.e., revenues, cost of sales, and DME spend)
- Implement financial processes improvements and optimizations. Lead adoption of digital and automate solution for forecasting and reporting
Required Basic Qualifications
- BA or BS degree
- 10+ years of finance experience required; industry knowledge preferred
- Must have very strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written & presentations) demonstrating the ability to effectively summarize critical information into clear, concise, and insightful updates for senior leadership
- Strong analytical, critical thinking skills, and proactive thought leadership
- Must possess expertise in financial modeling & analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience in Product P&L financial management and corresponding business knowledge
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Pfizer's financial systems
- Strong expertise in digital solutions implementation (e.g. standard reporting, forecast systems)
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, master's degree in finance or accounting or CPA
- Pharma or Life Sciences industry experience

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
