Job Description

The Director of Sponsorship Deals will lead the Value-added services Finance in commercialization and performance management of Visa’s global sponsorship portfolio within Marketing Services. This role is pivotal in productizing sponsorship assets, driving pricing strategy, and ensuring maximum ROI across global and regional markets. The Director will partner closely with Global Sponsorship in Value added services BU, Marketing function, Legal, and Regional Marketing Services teams to monetize sponsorship properties, develop scalable programs, and unlock new partnership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sponsorship Commercialization

  • Develop frameworks for pricing, packaging, and selling sponsorship assets globally.
  • Create standardized playbooks and margin targets for sponsorship deals.
  • Oversee asset inventory tracking and utilization across regions.

Revenue Growth & Deal Management

  • Drive sponsorship revenue targets aligned with FY26+ growth strategy.
  • Support the negotiations and contracting for sponsorship deals, ensuring compliance and profitability.
  • Surface upsell/cross-sell opportunities during engagements.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Global Sponsorship in Marketing function and, Regional Marketing Services Partners.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of the financials related to sponsorship activations (e.g., hospitality packages, experiential events, athlete appearances).

Innovation & Market Development

  • Assess net-new sponsorship opportunities and assess revenue potential.
  • Build best-in-class Financial and commercial evaluation frameworks and case study libraries for global reapplication.

Operational Excellence

  • Implement standardized OKRs and reporting mechanisms for sponsorship performance.
  • Ensure timely risk escalation on scope, revenue, and expense.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 170,700.00 to 247,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
