We are seeking a Senior Director of Finance to lead the corporate finance function of a multi-entity operating business headquartered in Deerfield Beach, Florida. This is an on-site, operator-level role reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

The Senior Director of Finance serves as the corporate finance leader and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This is an operator-level role responsible for the close, the books, consolidated financial reporting, external audit and CPA firm management, income tax posture, financial planning and analysis, payroll, systems, and internal controls. The Senior Director also serves as a strategic partner and trusted financial advisor to the CEO, VP, and executive team, translating financial data into actionable recommendations that support growth, profitability, and long-term enterprise value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close across all entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

  • Maintain the chart of accounts, accounting policies, and reporting structures to support business and executive needs.

  • Oversee intercompany accounting, shared-service allocations, and related reconciliations.

  • Oversee payroll processing, payroll-to-general-ledger reconciliation, and final payroll sign-off before close.

  • Partner with the VP on the annual budgeting process.

  • Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

  • Support corporate banking relationships.

  • Coordinate the external audit from planning through completion, including schedules, documentation, fieldwork, and follow-up.

  • Manage the relationship with the external CPA firm and coordinate the scope and delivery of professional services.

  • Own the finance technology environment, including accounting, payroll, expense, payment, close, and reporting systems.

  • Establish and standardize finance processes, including close checklists, reporting packages, budget templates, variance reporting, and cash forecasting.

  • Continuously improve financial systems, processes, and reporting to increase accuracy, efficiency, and visibility across the organization.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 12 years prior experience as a Senior Director of Finance, Vice President of Finance, Controller, or equivalent.

  • Proven track record of building and managing a small, high-performing finance team in a multi-entity environment.

  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or comparable in a multi-entity configuration.

  • High degree of ownership, discretion with sensitive information, and comfort operating within a demanding operating tempo. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred; MBA a plus.

Skills Required

  • At least 12 years of experience as a Senior Director of Finance, Vice President of Finance, Controller, or equivalent
  • Experience building and managing a small, high-performing finance team in a multi-entity environment
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or comparable multi-entity systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant CPA certification
  • MBA
