Summary of Position:

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to lead impactful data-driven initiatives across the organization. This role will focus on advanced machine learning, statistical modeling, and process automation to solve complex business challenges, improve operational efficiency, and drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have expertise in model development, deployment, and interpretation, combined with strong stakeholder communication skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure models deliver measurable business value while mentoring others in advanced data science practices.

Location: US Remote (not limited to the states that the job is tagged to)

Key Responsibilities:

- Model Development and Deployment

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models with a focus on reducing technical debt and manual processes.
  • Build and optimize time series models for forecasting customer usage, renewal rates, and revenue analytics.
  • Ensure models are production-ready, leveraging MLOps best practices for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Monitor model performance, identify drift, and implement retraining strategies to maintain accuracy and relevance.

- Data Preparation and Feature Engineering

  • Lead efforts in preparing, cleaning, and transforming large datasets, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Engineer innovative features to enhance predictive accuracy, particularly for time series and customer behavior models.
  • Work extensively with finance data to identify business risks, opportunities, and strategic customers.

- Statistical Modeling and LLMs

  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques to uncover trends and support non-ML initiatives.
  • Apply and optimize large language models (LLMs) to improve inquiry response times, automate processes, and enhance productivity.

- Stakeholder Communication and Insight Generation

  • Partner with finance, product, and operational teams to align data science solutions with business objectives.
  • Translate complex machine learning outcomes into actionable insights and compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effectively communicate with senior leadership, providing improved reporting and insights that drive decision-making.
  • Identify and present opportunities for growth and strategies to mitigate business risks.

- Process Automation

  • Develop and implement automation solutions to create efficiencies across workflows and reduce operational risks.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data science roles, with proven expertise in model deployment and integration into production environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience with time series analysis and advanced feature engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of MLOps practices and tools for scalable deployment.
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their applications in automating workflows and enhancing productivity.
  • Proven experience working with finance data, forecasting metrics such as customer usage and renewal rates, and conducting revenue analytics.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • SaaS experience, particularly in product or sales-focused initiatives, is highly desirable.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

$129,800.00 - $241,200.00
