Job Description
The Finance Coordinator reports to the Finance Manager Germany and is a crucial function in the german accounting team. The person is expected to possess a strong foundation in local and international accounting standards, coupled with very good analytical skills.
In this position you will ensure that finance related tasks and transactions of TOMRA Sorting GmbH are in compliance with laws, regulations and accounting principles. Being the right hand of the local Finance Manager, the main responsibilities for the role include:
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Manage & align general ledger accounting (provisions etc.) with the Finance Manager and Financial Controller
- Prepare & submit month-end & year-end reporting’s (HGB & IFRS) after review
- Prepare & submit tax returns
- Prepare & submit regulatory reporting's
- Support audit work
- Ensuring compliance to applicable laws and regulations
Qualifications
Education & Work Experience
- Minimum high school diploma with post-secondary education in accounting
- Minimum 6 years experience in an accounting role or similar
- Previous work experience in an audit or known consultancy firm desirable
Language & Other Skills
- Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
- Advanced experience using accounting software / an ERP system. Experience with IFS is desirable
- Advanced oral & written German skills
- Intermediate oral & written English skills
