What you’ll do
The Finance Coordinator, Jumpstart, will play a key role in Jumpstart’s commitment to strengthening community sport across Canada, and in ensuring all kids have an opportunity to realize the benefits of participating in sport and play.
Reporting to the Director, Finance & Reporting, the Finance Coordinator, Jumpstart will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by managing daily financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other internal teams and departments.

Support the Director, Finance and Reporting, in the preparation, reporting, and presentation of financial data. Assist in the delivery and execution of key finance initiatives aimed at creating efficiencies and developing opportunities to unlock Jumpstart’s strategic opportunities.

Support the day-to-day management of Jumpstart Finance’s inbox through timely triage and response to internal and external requests.

Assist in coordinating aspects of Jumpstart’s finance initiatives, including but not limited to:

Systems and Technology

Financial reporting and recording

Communication

Administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, project management, maintaining files, folders & communication logs, record retention, and budget management

Work collaboratively with the Operations/Program team to provide financial insights and financial forecasting. This will aid in the design and development of decision-making tools.

Spearhead the development of process documentation for finance processes and procedures.

Develop, coordinate, and maintain communications with internal and external stakeholders

Support the charity in the execution of its strategic and business objectives as they evolve.
What you bring
-
University and/or College education with background in Finance, Accounting, or related field
-
Atleast 6 months experience in finance and accounting roles

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and financial software
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to pro-actively identify and build value added analytics/reporting.

Excellent organizational and communication skills

High degree of customer service and focus
