Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented financial controller to oversee and manage financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles and regulatory frameworks. Experience in managing import-export processes, transfer pricing, US accounting standards (US GAAP), and Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS) will be an added advantage. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to ensure the company’s financial health and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Job Description
1. Financial Management:
• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
• Support month-end and year-end close process
2. Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Ensure compliance on transfer pricing, related party transactions and export matters.
3. Taxation:
• Oversee tax planning and compliance, including direct and indirect taxes, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the company’s operations.
• Work to operationalize and comply with US federal and state tax laws
4. Treasury and Cash Management:
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment strategies to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
• Monitor foreign exchange exposure and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with currency fluctuations.
5. Financial Analysis and Strategy:
• Provide strategic financial insights to support business decision-making and long-term planning.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
6. Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and initiatives.
Requirements
• CA with minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, in the manufacturing/consumer space.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with multinational operations and understanding of cross-border financial transactions
is advantageous.
• Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all
levels of the organization.
• High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and
professionalism.
