The Finance Controller for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for Beckman Coulter India legal entity accounting, financial reporting, and taxation and would be responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls. This role will be responsible to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and provide advice with complete ownership and accountability of accounting, financial reporting, taxation in a timely and proactive manner.

This position is part of the SWA Finance team located in Mumbai and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Responsible for compliance with US and local GAAP rules and regulations in accordance with Company procedures and periodically review and re-evaluate accounting practices to ensure conformance with US and local GAAP practices and for tax planning and compliance with direct and indirect tax laws including transfer price.
• Responsible for providing accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, payables management and satisfactory internal audit and controls.
• Lead and ensure timely closure of local statutory audit, tax audits, submission of statutory financial and tax filings & assessments including monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting as per timelines and in accordance with Company Standard Financial Close Procedures and US GAAP guidelines.
• Oversee the general accounting function including day to day routine activities such as accounts payable, inventory, asset capitalization, inter-company accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory compliances.
• Review, Formulate anticipating changes to policies and procedures in line with the changing requirements of the business and regulatory environment as assigned by Finance Head.
• Recruit the best, motivate, and develop team. 

Experience required:

• Chartered Accountant 10+ years’ experience including 3-4 years of minimum people management experience.
• Must demonstrate proficiency and experience in the financial close and consolidations process and the ability to work in a fast-paced, success-driven organization that operates with the mantra Best Team Wins!
• Strong experience and understanding of Compliance, Tax, Audit and Financial Accounting.
• Strong Integrity and though process; interpersonal skills; Teamwork & leadership skills; Self-motivated; and ability to multi-task.
• Strong in Internal Controls and able to build Standard works and process re-engineering, understanding operational accounting & able to manage a finance team.

• Excellent systems skills- Oracle, MS office, SAP BW/ Business Objects.

 It would be a plus if you also possess:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
• Big 4 audit experience
