Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  2. Partner with business teams to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across various functions.
  3. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and opportunities to drive business performance and profitability.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business cases for new initiatives, store openings, and marketing campaigns.
  5. Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and internal controls, maintaining accuracy and integrity in all financial data.
  6. Drive cost optimization initiatives and support resource allocation to maximize ROI.
Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in FP&A or business finance roles, preferably in the retail sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in financial modeling and scenario planning.
  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in financial systems and tools.
  • Experience with ERP tools like Oracle/SAP is essential.
  • Experience with budgeting tools like COGNOS will be an added advantage.

About the Team

SHOEMART is the largest retailer of footwear and accessories in the Middle East, with over 160 stores to cater to the entire family. With an impressive 34-year history, we have earned our place as one of the most trusted footwear retailers in the region, serving nearly 7 million shoppers annually. 

 

We also manage two additional footwear retail chains: SHOEXPRESS, which has 50 stores and is the leading value footwear brand in the self-service format within the region, and Pablosky with 9 stores, a premium kids' footwear brand known worldwide. 

 

We take immense pride in being the preferred footwear business for more than 150 vendors from around the world, some of whom have been supporting us for over 30 years.
