● Collaboration: As one of the crucial positions, the FBP should have excellent initiative and collaboration skills. This includes the ability to provide guidance to and work closely with not just team members but also to colleagues across different departments.
● Analytical Skills and Experience: What do the numbers mean? What issues should we think about? The FBP should be able to draw patterns and insights from numbers in order to surface the underlying stories and concerns.
● Knowledge of Financial Systems: Familiarity with financial systems and software used for accounting, financial reporting, and data analysis is crucial for streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.
● Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: The FBP should be well-versed in accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements to ensure the organization remains compliant
● Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex financial information and build rapport with stakeholders.
● Integrity and Professionalism: High ethical standards, respecting confidentiality while adhering to regulatory compliance requirements.
● Experience working in a very fast pace environment (Start-Ups or financial institutions, especially fintech, banks, and lending companies, MNCs or FMCGs) would be strongly preferred.
