Job Description:
Business Partnering
- Act as the strategic finance partner to the Director Operations and Director Commercial to support business performance
- Provide financial analysis and actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Challenge business assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability, productivity and cash flow.
- Support business cases, investment decisions and operational improvement initiatives.
- Review and support capital expenditure proposals, investment evaluations and business cases to ensure alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast.
- Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support business decisions.
Financial Reporting & Control
- Lead month-end closing activities and management reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor cost performance, inventory, profitability and working capital.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, banking relationships and treasury activities to ensure adequate funding and effective cash management.
- Support reporting in accordance with IFRS and financial policies
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the company’s financial policies, internal controls and accounting standards.
- Support statutory, internal and external audit activities.
- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, SST/VAT reporting, transfer pricing requirements and tax audits.
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation plans.
- Ensure financial processes are aligned with the global operating model.
Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting.
- Improve reporting automation and business intelligence capabilities.
- Support implementation of new finance systems and reporting tools.
- Promote data quality and process standardization across the business.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Commercial, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain and other support functions to enable effective business planning, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.
- Support cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.
- Lead, coach and develop the local team
Technical Capabilities
Finance Management
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Management Reporting
- Cost, Inventory & Working Capital Management
- Financial Controls & Governance
Business and Finance Analysis
- Financial modelling and performance analysis
- Variance, profitability and KPI analysis
- Commercial acumen and business partnering
Systems
- SAP ERP experience preferred, Power BI, Microsoft Excel
Industry Knowledge
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial or mining environments preferred.
Educational Background & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance experience.
- Strong experience in FP&A, controlling, budgeting and business partnering
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial operations is preferred.
- Previous people leadership experience is an advantage.
Language Requirements
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Local language where applicable.
- Additional languages are an advantage.
