Summary of Role:
The Finance business partner provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization. The Finance business partner supervises the finance department. The Finance business partner reports directly to the Finance business partner, North Asia and closely work with general manager of Taiwan on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to CE business.
Responsibilities in Detail:
· Excel in finance function as a business partner to track on operation performance and provide commercial support to achieve financial targets and Company objectives
· Ensure compliance with internal policies and control procedures, and local statutory requirements.
· Gain experience & in-depth knowledge of business models & operation practice of different BUs, their challenge & potential in order to support Business with meaningful analysis.
· Use fresh ways of thinking to improve business processes and free Finance staff from daily routine tasks to focus on more business critical issues.
· Continue to build mutual trust and strong partnership with local management team, and AP financial team.
· Demonstrate the leadership to retain financial staff to minimize financial team members' turn-over rate. Lead and motivate FIN team members to submit all financial reports on schedule.
· Enhance cross-function alignment with local management to learn more about the value and culture of FMC TW and with good communication skills to interact with related stakeholders and AP financial team.
· To implement work flow improvements through computerized automation, simplify operational procedures and eliminate non-critical steps.
· Monitor the monthly Flash Report consolidation progress, preparation and distribution and review the Flash results and prepare analytical highlights to Management.
Qualifications, Experience and Characteristics Required:
· Bachelor or above degree in Accounting or Business Management related
· Experience should be the controller or Chief Financial Officer level
· Qualified accountant with at least 20 years of accounting experience, of which minimum 10 years’ post qualification experience in a Finance role in MNCs, preferable healthcare industry, and group consolidation work
· Thorough understanding of and work experience with different accounting functions and daily operations
· Familiar with IFRS
· Experience with computerized accounting system/ ERP system, preferable SAP system
· Excellent command of MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
· Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written skills in English and Chinese to communicate with different levels of internal and external people
· Must process excellent problem-solving skills and initiative to drive and lead the functions and projects · A good team leader as well as a good team player
· FIN Project Management, e.g. Share Service Center, experience is preferred
