You will work as part of the European Commercial Finance team.

This role will be responsible for the creation of business cases for new Strategic Partnership opportunities and supporting the ongoing management and benefits realization for partnerships post launch. You will also be responsible for evaluating the ongoing performance and making recommendations for improvements in the execution of the partnerships. You will work closely with European Insights, local Financial Planning and international stakeholders in each aspect of this role critical to supporting IPF Groups growth plans and purpose.

Key accountabilities

  • Finance business partnering for the local market.

  • Ongoing finance support to the Head of Business Development and Innovation and European Head of Commercial Insights, working closely Financial Planning team.

  • Preparation and delivery of business cases for new Strategic Partnership opportunities, liaising with key stakeholders (e.g. Credit, Financial Planning & Marketing teams) to gather inputs and agree benefits and outputs.

  • Benefits realisation support for existing Partnerships (and new ones as they come up) Head of Business Development and Innovation via reporting and analysis in collaboration with local market teams. Critical thinking, problem solving and influencing ongoing activities to ensure results are delivered in line with or exceeding business expectations.

  • Key role in the local partnership budgeting process ensuring strategic partnership opportunities are appropriately included in market budget.

  • Evaluation of Partnership promotional proposals, whether for the partners or for the customers, ensuring that all such initiatives are in line the Group Product, Pricing & Promotions Policy.

  • Responsible for the preparation of the financial input to the reporting pack for the Partnerships Review meetings and follow up analytics.

  • Regular monthly review of the performance of partnerships.

  • We expect you to think innovatively and find new and smarter ways to do things differently than today. A big part of the role will be to make identified improvements happen and achieve tangible improvements across the business.

 Knowledge, skills, and experience

  • Recognized accounting qualification ACA / CIMA / ACCA is desirable, but not essential

  • Ideally educated to degree level from a recognized university

  • Knowledge of financial modelling methodologies preferrable

  • Strong demonstrable numeracy skills at appropriate level

  • Fluent in verbal and written business English (essential)

  • Good interpersonal communication skills

  • Effective organization, prioritization, and time management

  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Good PC Skills (MS office), particularly in Excel (use of formulas and pivots etc.)

  • Ability to prepare reports and recommendations

  • Flexible approach, to ensure deadlines are met and overseas support is delivered as required

  • Positive mind set – ‘can-do attitude’

  • Flexible – happy to roll your sleeves up when needed

  • Experience in Financial Planning or Control Finance team (preferably in a financial services environment)

  • Experience of communicating at all levels

  • Presenting results of analysis to senior stakeholders

Skills Required
