Finance Business Partner - HPM EHM R&D - Panama

Your role

  • Serve as the Finance Business Partner for our Boston (Cambridge) basted EHM teams focusing on R&D, Go-to-Market and finance topics of the business for the portfolio located there

  • Be the go-to finance person for our Varginha based R&D operations in Brazil mainly focusing on R&D topics for HPM and play a crucial role during the ramp up of the activities for the future

  • Engage with team leaders of the business in both locations and become their trusted finance partner, represent finance in cross-functional projects or initiatives and participate in the global finance organization

  • Create financial transparency to effectively manage the business and implement Group-wide guidelines, controlling standards including business & value cases, especially help building compelling business cases for R&D projects

  • Support key business decisions through meaningful reporting and analysis, and derive actionable recommendations

  • Plan, forecast, and monitor costs and investments in coordination with the category leadership and engage in the strategic planning and forecasting activities for your area of responsibility

  • Ensure books and records, correct cost allocation and execute assigned internal controls

Your profile

  • University degree in business administration with a focus on finance/controlling or a related field

  • Relevant work experience (5+ yrs) in controlling large international corporations and complex businesses with a track record of business modelling

  • Proficiency in modern controlling tools such as project controlling, cost accounting, reporting, cost allocation, and the aspiration to leverage the advantages of AI in Finance

  • Strong conceptual and analytical abilities with strategic thinking and solution-oriented approach as well as being keen to understand EHM’s technical solutions

  • Excellent communication skills for networking across various departments and hierarchy levels from a remote location (self-sustaining); ability to communicate with non-finance colleagues and drive results

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP (ideally S/4 HANA) and BI solutions; understanding and being able to operate in the Philips technical finance environment is considered as an advantage

  • Fluent in English and willing to travel to the US and Brazil recurringly to engage with teams on site

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an office-based role in our location in Panama City with recurring business travel to the US (Cambridge, MA) and Brazil (Varginha, MG).
