Ready to play a central role in how one of the world's largest financial institutions manages and allocates its expenses? This is your opportunity to sit at the intersection of Finance, Technology, and Business Management — building partnerships that drive clarity and accountability across the firm. You'll turn complex financial data into insights that senior leaders rely on to make critical decisions. If you thrive on collaboration, precision, and making processes better, this role was built for you.
As a Finance & Business Management Associate on the Corporate and Business Administration Allocations team, you will support the end-to-end allocation process and serve as a trusted partner to sending and receiving lines of business. You will promote transparency by tracking allocation activity, monitoring financial results and data quality, and producing clear reporting that explains methodologies, drivers, variances, and business impacts. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across Finance, Technology, and Operations while translating complex financial information into actionable insights for stakeholders and senior management.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end allocation lifecycle, including planning, forecasting, monthly execution, outlook updates, year-end activities, and maintenance of allocation methodologies, drivers, hierarchies, mappings, and documentation
- Serve as a core allocation partner to lines of business across the firm, working with Finance, Business Management, Technology, Operations, and other stakeholders to gather inputs, validate assumptions, coordinate deliverables, and communicate allocation methodologies and financial impacts
- Track allocation milestones, dependencies, approvals, open issues, and follow-up actions across sending and receiving organizations, escalating material risks, missed deadlines, and unresolved items as appropriate
- Monitor allocation results for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, data quality, and alignment with approved methodologies and financial expectations
- Perform reconciliations and variance analysis against budget, forecast, prior periods, and business expectations; investigate exceptions and coordinate resolution with data owners and line-of-business partners
- Prepare dashboards, management reports, and executive-ready presentations summarizing allocation results, trends, risks, opportunities, decisions, and required actions
- Facilitate recurring stakeholder reviews and support governance, controls, audit requests, and issue tracking while identifying opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate allocation processes
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in financial services, financial planning and analysis, business management, accounting, or another analytical role
- Ability to interpret financial results, identify trends and variances, resolve discrepancies, and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Experience coordinating deliverables across multiple teams and communicating complex financial information to varied audiences, including senior management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience analyzing data, preparing management reporting, and developing presentations
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with expense allocations, chargebacks, transfer pricing, cost accounting, or shared-service financial models, including knowledge of general ledger, cost center, legal entity, product, and organizational hierarchy concepts
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, variance analysis, reconciliations, management reporting, and cross-line-of-business governance routines
