Job summary

As a Senior Associate, Finance Analyst in Business Banking Lending Finance, you translate lending performance into executive-ready insights that help us make better decisions. You will combine management reporting, dashboard design, and financial analysis to explain results and identify actions our leaders can take. You will work in a collaborative, high-visibility environment where curiosity, strong judgment, and attention to detail matter. You will help us improve how we measure performance by strengthening definitions, controls, and data quality while reducing manual work through automation.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead and enhance management reporting and dashboards that provide clear visibility into results, trends, and key metrics for finance and business leadership
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly variances across originations, balances, pricing, credit, expenses, profitability, and portfolio trends to identify root causes and emerging themes
  • Develop executive-ready commentary and recommendations that summarize the key message, financial implications, and potential next steps
  • Partner with Product, Strategy, Risk, and Operations teams to validate conclusions, understand context, and pressure-test explanations
  • Deliver ad hoc strategic analyses on profitability, portfolio behavior, pricing impacts, credit strategy changes, forecast risks, and emerging business issues
  • Improve reporting processes by automating recurring work, standardizing metrics, strengthening controls, improving data quality, and documenting key definitions and procedures
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance, business analytics, management reporting, financial planning and analysis, pricing analytics, portfolio analytics, or a related analytical role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis, connect financial outcomes to underlying business activity, and explain decision implications
  • Experience creating management reporting, dashboards, business reviews, or executive materials for senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical judgment and business curiosity, with the ability to challenge surface-level explanations using data
  • Enthusiastic, self-directed, energetic, and personally motivated, with the ability to take ownership and execute improvements with limited direction
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools (for example, Alteryx or Tableau)
  • Working knowledge of data querying tools, such as Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Strong attention to detail and control mindset, including the ability to identify anomalies before results are shared with senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Experience supporting lending, credit card, small business banking, commercial banking, consumer banking, or another financial services business
  • Familiarity with lending economics, including originations, balances, utilization, yield, fee income, credit losses, expenses, capital, profitability, or return metrics
  • Experience supporting CFO organizations, pricing teams, risk strategy, portfolio management, product strategy, or business performance teams
  • Experience analyzing the financial impact of pricing actions, credit strategy changes, customer behavior, portfolio mix, or product changes
  • Working knowledge of Python or modern data platforms (for example, Databricks or Snowflake)
  • Exposure to analytics automation, dashboard automation, workflow automation, or reporting modernization

Skills Required
