Job Description:

• Identify and Prioritize - Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to identify automation and process optimization opportunities, and to prioritize the pipeline.  Participate in discussions with stakeholders, assist in securing buy-ins / approvals and help in managing stakeholder expectations.
• Implementation and Maintenance – Conceptualize, design, ideate, build, test, implement automations and process automations using tools such as Excel VBA, Alteryx and other tools that may be adopted in the future (e.g. Power Automate).
• Data Management – Accountable for the quality, integrity, and security of Finance data within the automated tools. This involves ensuring data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory and Sun Life policy requirements
• Training and User Support – Provide training to Finance team members on how to use the tools effectively. Offer ongoing support to address any issues or questions related to these tools.
• Compliance and Controls – Ensure that finance automated process adhere to regulatory and Sun Life policy requirements.
• Integration – Collaborate with PH BU IT, RO IT and Finance Enablement Team, and Corporate Finance Accelerator Team, and/or service providers for automation solutions which require system enhancements, use of robotic process automation (RPA), etc.
• Team Lead – Act as the team lead of the Finance Automation initiatives by guiding junior team members and being the point of contact for Finance Automation team to manage the stakeholder communications on expectations and results.
