Description

The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Keep accurate financial records and ledger
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards and internal controls
  • Perform account receivable functions including deposit and revenue recognition
  • Perform account payable functions including preparation and processing of checks and payments
  • Reconcile, balance, and review all accounts for errors
  • Prepare and file appropriate tax and vendor documents, sales tax, 1099, etc.
  • Assist with preparation of audit and Form 990
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 3-5 years relevant experience
  • QuickBooks Online – required
  • Non-profit experience
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use of good judgement
  • Willingness to work in a small office environment and the ability to complete tasks with little direct oversight
