Finance Associate, Accounting

The Opportunity

This role is primarily responsible for general ledger accounting including monthly close, journal entries and account reconciliation preparation as well as P&L analysis and other finance projects. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Prepare monthly close entries in NetSuite for review and approval by the Accounting Manager 

• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations using Blackline reconciliation and matching software 

• Responsibilities include but are not limited to cash, prepaid expenses, and accruals 

• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements for the Board of Directors and monthly variance analyses 

• Analyze expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis 

• Work with our tax advisors and Controller regarding a variety of tax and compliance topics 

• Assist with annual audit requests as required 

• Assist in identifying process improvements 

• Other duties as assigned by Management 

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting 

• 1-3 years accounting experience 

• Ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines; highly detail oriented and organized in work 

• Experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline a plus (not required) 

• Proficient in Advanced Excel functions including pivot tables and vlookups 

• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively cross-functionally and with all levels of employees, management, and external advisors to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and deliver results
