About the role:

The Finance Assistant will be a part of a diverse and dynamic team which provides award-winning service to our valued guests. This position reports to the Director of Finance.

A Maldivian work permit will be provided by the resort.

What you will do:

Accounts Payable related:

  • Takes charge of the assigned roles in the Accounts Payable function
  • Assists in the processing of the hotel's payroll
  • Handles the cash processing in the Hotel
  • Assists in timely vendor payments, and carries out vendor and bank reconciliations
  • Assist in the month end process
  • Assists in payroll processing
  • Assists in filing of finance records

Accounts Receivable & Audit related:

  • Takes charge of the assigned work in the Accounts Receivable function, including credit card operations
  • Handles day audit processes and reconciliations
  • Carries out the Accounts Receivable processes, including debtors' aging and collection
  • Handle the Day Audit system with zero tolerance for revenue leakage
  • Assists in bank reconciliation and coordination with banks
  • Handles the month end process

Purchasing & Stores related:

  • Takes charge of assigned daily purchasing processes including ordering and procurement
  • Supports vendor negotiations
  • Handles daily receiving and storeroom processes
  • Coordinates with operational departments and ensures hotel purchases meet best quality-price ratio
  • Diligently follows the hotel's purchasing process from PO raising and approval, vendor management to timely delivery
  • Ensures proper receiving system, quality control and documentation
  • Maintains stores in excellent physical order and ensures accurate documentation
  • Actively participates in the month end process

What you bring:

  • Excellent English, Math and psychometric abilities
  • Passed O Levels (A levels preferred)
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in luxury hotels is preferred
  • Possesses aptitude and upward mobility
  • possesses high levels of professional integrity and confidentiality and an interest in being exposed in various areas of Finance

Schedule & Hours:
