Finance and Reporting Analyst

As a Finance and Reporting Analyst, you will have a direct hand in developing and presenting financial statements and reports that guide our company's direction. You will become an expert on our internal ledger and data entries, ensuring a seamless flow of information for accounting reports. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering and Product teams, ensuring that new products are built within an appropriate accounting framework. You will support and streamline our internal accounting operations, including accounts payable, wires and ACH processing, budgeting, and cash flow analysis. You will report directly to River's Director of Finance, ensuring that your insights and contributions are at the heart of our company strategy.

What you will do

• Develop financial reports and statements, and present key information to company leadership on a routine basis
• Support the monthly financial close and annual financial audit processes
• Partner with Accounting to create processes, automations, and internal controls that support the production of timely and accurate monthly financial reporting
• Manage recurring accounting and finance projects, including tax compliance and reporting, and accounts payable and receivable operations
• Drive the semi-annual budgeting process, working directly with department heads
• Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure that new product offerings are seamlessly integrated into our financial reporting framework
• Master key elements of the company’s data schema

Nice to haves

• 1-2 years of finance experience at a high-growth tech company or financial services firm
• Degree in Business, with specializations in Finance or Accounting
• Experience with SQL or Finance / Accounting ERPs
• Familiarity with U.S. fiat payment rails, including ACH and FedWire
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting fundamentals
• Understanding of and passion for Bitcoin

Salary and benefits 

• Salary range is $70,000 - $90,000 dependent on experience
