The Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Program Management team is responsible for the oversight and delivery of multiple projects within the Corporate Investment Bank impacting Finance & Business Management. The Cross-Functional & Risk pillar of this team specifically manages several initiatives that impact the CIB across asset class and functions, typically; Strategic and transformational programs, Legal Entity Strategy Programs and Large regulatory implementation programs. The program team is responsible for end-to-end project management and governance of the BCBS 239 implementation plan. The regulatory objective of BCBS 239 is to ensure that banks establish robust capabilities for risk data aggregation and risk reporting.
As a Vice President in the Commercial & Investment Bank Program Management team, you will be working in partnership with the BCBS 239 Program Owner and respective Workstream Leads across multiple teams, including Corporate Technology, CIB Technology, Risk, Finance, CDAO, Operations, Outsourcing, Control Management and JPMSE Data Governance. You will be driven and have exceptional communication, project management skills, and demonstrate solid judgment and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a complex environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Create project charters, resourcing plans, defining, and agreeing roles and responsibilities for project delivery.
- Create and maintain an appropriate governance structure, evolving as needed.
- Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders in the different businesses our team can support (e.g., Markets, Private Bank, Asset Management) and functions (e.g., Finance, Operations, Risk, CDAO, Legal etc.)
- Lead or co-ordinate Working Group sessions as required to, setting the agenda, preparing meeting materials, documenting minutes, and ensuring clear ownership of action items.
- Coordinating, planning, and tracking implementation / execution of plans where relevant.
- Create project materials as required for governance forums, management reporting, ad hoc presentations, and regulatory materials.
- Implement and maintain appropriate project management tools and processes, according to our team's minimum controls and process library, such as Statements of Work, Roles and Responsibilities, Governance Framework and Communications Plan.
- Identify, collate, and manage the Program level risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Manage communication of status updates to stakeholders through scorecards.
- Partner with stakeholders, providing guidance and analysis, helping identify and escalate issues/risks/dependencies and facilitating communication across teams.
- Partner with technology as required to ensure design and build requirements meet business needs.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Relevant experience in project management, or similar profession
- Extensive finance industry experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent multitasking and prioritizing skills
- Ability to distil complex requirements into actionable implementation tasks.
- Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and communicate effectively and comfortably with senior people.
- Robust understanding of CIB products and decision-making processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft high-impact presentations and documentation.
- Strong people skills and the ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a team and with senior stakeholders.
- Diligence and ability to work independently when required.
- Experience managing cross-functional, cross asset class or end to end projects.
- Strategic thinking and leadership skills, able to take initiative and drive projects to successful completion.
- Strong initiative, enterprising spirit, and desire to learn.
- Experience in defining business requirements, implementing, and testing solutions with Technology.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) and PowerPoint

- Innovation tools and processes like Alteryx and Tableau
