KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Leadership
- Lead all financial management activities.
- Develop and implement financial strategies.

- Establish departmental budgets.

- Manage all Company bank accounts.
- Monitor daily cash positions.
- Forecast cash requirements.
- Ensure availability of working capital.
- Optimize cash utilization.
- Develop liquidity management plans.
- Maintain cash reserve policies.
Prepare:
- Monthly management accounts.
- Quarterly Board reports.
- Annual financial statements.
- Budget performance reports.
- Cash flow forecasts.
- Working capital reports.
- Capital expenditure reports.
- Financial risk assessments.
Provide accurate and timely reporting to the Board.
Design and maintain controls covering:
- Procurement.
- Payments.
- Inventory.
- Fixed assets.
- Payroll.
- Revenue collection.
- Expense management.
- Banking transactions.
Implement segregation of duties.
Ensure financial accountability throughout the organization.
Review all procurement activities.
Ensure:
- Competitive sourcing.

- Supplier due diligence.
Monitor supplier performance and payment obligations.
Establish controls over:
- Raw materials.
- Packaging materials.
- Finished goods.
- Spare parts.
Ensure:

- Inventory reconciliation.
- Inventory valuation.
- Shrinkage prevention.
Investigate inventory variances.
Develop systems to monitor:
- Production costs.
- Cost per kilogram produced.
- Cost per carton sold.
- Energy consumption costs.
- Labor costs.
- Waste levels.
- Equipment utilization.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Support pricing decisions through financial analysis.
Oversee:
- Farm operating budgets.
- Input procurement costs.
- Land development expenditures.
- Agricultural productivity metrics.
- Cost per hectare analysis.
- Yield profitability analysis.
Monitor return on agricultural investments.
Monitor:
- Sales reporting.
- Customer collections.
- Distributor receivables.
- Trade promotions.
- Sales incentives.
Ensure accurate revenue recognition.
Prevent revenue leakage.
Identify and monitor:
- Financial risks.
- Operational risks.
- Credit risks.
- Liquidity risks.

Develop mitigation plans.
Provide regular risk reports to the Board.
- Ensure compliance with Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) requirements, State tax obligations, Pension regulations, PAYE regulations, NSITF requirements, Industrial Training Fund obligations, and Food processing and manufacturing regulations.
- Coordinate external audits and regulatory reviews.
- Review Payroll administration, Employee benefits, Compensation structures, Workforce cost management.
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate Equipment purchases, Facility improvements, Expansion projects, Financing proposals.
- Conduct investment analysis and return-on-investment evaluations.
- Provide recommendations to management and the Board.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline
- At least one professional accounting qualification is required.
- MBA or Master's degree is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 8–12 years progressive finance experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Experience managing budgets exceeding ₦500 million preferred.
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, agribusiness, food processing, or industrial operations strongly preferred.
- Experience dealing with Boards of Directors.

- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is a strong advantage
