Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analytics Lead who will be part of the Finance performance management team in Bangalore, India. The successful candidate will drive the scale out and sustainability of the enterprise planning and analytics environment, build robust KPIs and dashboards to drive actionable insights, as well as perform other business partnering and support activities. The ideal skill set would include a finance and/or information systems background, Cognos, IBM TM1/Planning Analytics or Tableau expertise to support Finance team forecasting and reporting needs. Candidate should have experience leading moderate to highly complex financial planning and business intelligence end-to-end project implementations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of large-scale financial planning & analytics initiatives serving a wide array of cross-functional groups.
- Deliver scalable and efficient reporting and visualization solutions by supporting all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment.
- Analytics lead with strong knowledge in Analytics tools such as Tableau, Cognos, TM1 or similar, to support Finance business partners.
- Support on-going enhancements and implementation of new Analytics model by building efficient data models and reporting framework.
- As the Finance Analytics lead, you will be responsible for maintenance of the current reporting systems and identifying automation and process improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement the best practices for system processes, new models, enhancements, and training.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key business partners and understand their reporting needs, issues and provide innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- Expertise in developing Analytics model using Cognos and Visualization tools like Tableau
- 5+ years of Cognos, TM1 or Tableau development experience
- Experience with defining KPIs and building data models and reporting framework to support the KPI
- Completed multiple budgeting and reporting systems implementations using structured project methodologies and tools that support requirements, design, development, validation, deployment, and training.
- Business knowledge of finance and/ or accounting functions is a plus.
- Database skills, SQL skills, Snowflake skills and/or strong Excel modeling skills, Tableau or like visualization skills.
- Must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Education:
- 10+ years of related experience with Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Applied Data Science, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar field required;(Master's would be preferred)
- IBM Cognos Analytics or Tableau Certifications a plus
