Job Summary
We are looking for a Finance Analyst to support end-to-end finance and accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, MIS, Data Models, ERP, Advance Excel, VBA, Macros, Support Budgeting and Forecasting, for a fast-paces media and publishing house.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare and publish daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct Variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget/Forecast) and provide commentary on financial performance, revenue, and cost trends.
- Support budgeting, forecasting estimates in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Create financial models to predict future performance and evaluate investment opportunities or risks.
2. Data Management & SQL
- Extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, Data Warehouses) using SQL queries.
- Validate data integrity and investigate financial discrepancies by writing complex SQL scripts and reconciling data across systems.
- Handle data transformation tasks including data cleansing, merging, and formatting to prepare it for final reporting.
3. Excel & Automation
- Utilize Advanced excel functions (Index-Match, Nested VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to manage complex financial data models.
- Automate repetitive reporting tasks using VBA/Macros or Python to reduce turnaround time (TAT) and manual errors.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards (using Excel or Power BI) to visualize KPIs for non-technical stakeholders.
4. Process Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks in current reporting processes and re-engineer spreadsheets for better efficiency.
- Collaborate with the IT/Data team to automate data pipelines and enhance system performance for finance workflows.
Skills Required: (Must Have)
Technical Skills
- Excel Mastery: Expert - level knowledge of Macros (VBA), Power Query, and advanced formulas.
- Database Management: Strong command of SQL (Select, Join, Group By, Sub-queries) for data extraction and validation.
- MIS Reporting: Proven experience in preparing Management information systems (MIS) reports and dashboards.
- Visualization: Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Power BI or Tableau.

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, MIS, Data Models, ERP, Advance Excel, VBA, Macros, Support Budgeting and Forecasting
- Experience in media, publishing, advertising, digital media, or service industries will be an added advantage.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- 3-5 years relevant experience in financial reporting, MIS, data models, ERP, advanced Excel, VBA, macros
- Expert-level Excel (advanced formulas, PivotTables, Index-Match, VLOOKUP)
- Proficiency in VBA and Macros for automation
- Strong command of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, subqueries) for data extraction and validation
- Experience preparing MIS reports and dashboards
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Power BI or Tableau
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM systems and Data Warehouse sources
- Ability to automate reporting tasks using Python or VBA
- Experience in media, publishing, advertising or digital media (advantage)
- Experience handling audits and compliance
- Strong communication, interpersonal and team management skills
