- Act as the key technical expert for all statutory reporting, compliance, and financial governance matters.
- Translate broad corporate finance and compliance concepts into actionable projects, delivering innovative solutions to complex and critical financial reporting problems.
- Lead or contribute to the development of new processes, programs, or systems to improve the accuracy and efficiency of statutory reporting and financial controls.
- Partner closely with Tax, Treasury, and Legal teams to ensure compliance and support core financial processes like DTT computation, global cash distribution, and tax incentive management.
- Operate autonomously on self-initiated assignments, providing expert guidance on even the most complex compliance issues.
- Advise management on critical issues and long-range goals, including compliance risk mitigation and adapting to new regulatory changes.
- Determine personal and team priorities in alignment with corporate and regional financial compliance objectives.
- Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in financial and statutory compliance, sought out for consultation on complex matters.
- Mentor and train other finance professionals on best practices related to IFRS/US GAAP, internal controls, and statutory reporting.
- Lead compliance projects and represent the organization to internal stakeholders (e.g., business unit leaders, auditors) and external parties (e.g., regulators, external auditors).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) is likely required due to the compliance focus.
- Typically 6+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, audit, or compliance, with demonstrated expertise in statutory reporting. Strong preference of Big 4 audit working experience.
- Strong accounting knowledge and advanced Excel skills. Experience with BI and visualization tools
- Ability to sustain high level performance, problem solve and meet demanding work deadlines.
- Inquisitive with a strong sense of responsibility and impeccable integrity.
