The Process Excellence Analyst plays a key role in driving operational excellence across Sherwin-Williams Business Services by supporting initiatives focused on process standardization, automation, reporting enhancement, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Support the planning and execution of global process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency, standardization, and scalability. 
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Facilitate current-state and future-state process mapping, including process flows, procedures, and standard operating documents. 
  • Recommend and support implementation of process enhancements that improve productivity, quality, compliance, and user experience. 
  • Contribute to the development of process improvement methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Process Automation & Tool Development

  • Develop and enhance solutions using Excel, including macros and VBA, to streamline manual processes.
  • Design and implement low-code automation solutions (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps, UiPath or similar).
  • Translate business requirements into practical and sustainable technical solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and automation opportunities to support continuous improvement objectives.

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Assess business improvement requests and determine appropriate approaches for addressing operational challenges.
  • Coordinate project activities, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, establish project objectives, and validate solutions.
  • Develop and execute testing plans to ensure solution quality and business readiness prior to deployment.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to measure results, validate benefits, and identify additional improvement opportunities.

Knowledge Management & Change Support

  • Maintain a centralized repository of process documentation, templates, standards, and project artifacts.
  • Support organizational change activities through stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and end-user support.
  • Assist with development of training materials and knowledge transfer plans for new processes and tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to encourage adoption and sustainability of process improvements.
  • Capture and share lessons learned and best practices across the organization.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in process improvement, business process analysis, automation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, macros, and VBA.
  • Experience developing solutions using low-code/no-code platforms such as Power Automate, Power Apps, UiPath, or similar technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical and process-based solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

Preferred:

  • Project management experience supporting cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience within shared services, finance, accounting, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, or related business operations.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement frameworks.
  • Strong reporting, dashboard development, data mining, and business analytics capabilities.
  • Experience supporting global organizations and process standardization initiatives.
  • Understanding of current automation, digital transformation, and business process management trends.
  • Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, or related continuous improvement certification.
