We are looking for a (Senior) Finance Manager to help build and scale our finance function. In this role, you will take ownership of preparatory accounting (Vorbereitung) across our bunch entities and play a key role in strengthening our financial operations as we grow internationally.

Your role
  • Your responsibilities

    • Own spending management processes (primarily via Moss), including preparatory accounting, and run billing and debtor management.

    • Independently own strategic finance projects with minimal supervision. This includes collecting offers, negotiating pricing and otherwise liaisoning with banks, insurances, advisors and other relevant parties.

    • Act as a key point of contact for external tax advisors and accountants

    • Contribute to broader finance projects, including:

      • Non-dilutive funding: identify, apply for, and manage grants and R&D tax credits to extend runway without equity dilution

      • Dilutive funding support: assist in funding rounds through data room preparation, financial analysis, and due diligence support

    • Stay on top of the financial complexity of a multi-entity structure across Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands, ensuring consistency and scalability as we expand into new markets

    • Drive continuous improvements in financial workflows and spending efficiency.

    • Build order and direction into a business scaling fast, staying energised by constant challenge and the freedom to shape what comes next.

What you bring
  • Hands-on experience with accounting, billing, and spend management tools (e.g. DATEV, Stripe, Moss, Spendesk) or similar systems

  • At least 2–4 years of experience in an in-house finance role, reputable consultancy, or completed training as a tax clerk/accountant

  • Interest in expanding to other aspects of the finance function through owning strategic finance projects

  • Strong attention to detail and quality orientation

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and comfort handling new responsibilities

  • High level of ownership, reliability, and flexibility

  • SaaS and/or fund industry experience is a plus

  • Fluency in German and English (C1+ level)

Skills Required
