Reporting to : Regional Chief Financial Officer Japan & Korea (CFO)
Department : Finance and Accounting
What You’ll Do:
Oversees Finance and Accounting for the entity, overseeing all accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Treasury, and Revenue Recognition.
Lead the month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and publication of monthly and annual financial statements.
Coordinate the preparation of statutory and regulatory reporting, including tax filings and financial reporting to external financial institutions.
Research, interpret, and resolve technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
Ensure strong internal controls and quality assurance over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Oversee and manage accounting operations performed by the overseas shared service center, ensuring service quality and compliance.
Lead, develop, and coach Finance and Accounting team members to build a high‑performing organization.
Coordinate and direct the annual budgeting and financial forecasting processes, including variance analysis and reporting to management.
Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision‑making from a financial and strategic perspective.
Consolidate financial data across Japan and Korea entities and ensure consistency in reporting.
Lead and/or supervise global accounting or finance‑related projects, as required.
Perform additional Controller‑level responsibilities as required to support business needs.

Demonstrated people management responsibilities
7+ years of progressive experience across accounting and finance functions
Strong, hands-on knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and procedures
Solid experience in preparing statutory and management financial statements
In depth experience with month-end / yearend close processes
Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese
Advanced proficiency in accounting systems, including system administration and controls
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and present financial data effectively
Strong learning mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and professional growth

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager
CPA qualification preferred (JP / US or equivalent)
SAP experience preferred
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience preferred
