The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial and Accounting Manager with primary key responsibilities listed below. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience, CPA or equivalent accounting credentials, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to work independently and other qualifications.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain ledger and manage monthly ledger activities and month-end closing processes, including bank reconciliations, transfer pricing schedules, prepayments, and accruals.

Prepare regular reconciliations of transactions and positions for financial and regulatory reporting returns and schedules, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS and German GAAP), tax, and other regulatory requirements.

Assist in the preparation of local audited financial statements with disclosure footnotes, management report and other documents necessary for the local audit

Preparation and filing of regulatory returns, and handle queries from regulator

Handle various tax matters with support from Group Tax function, including transfer pricing operational support, income tax and VAT tax compliance, and tax operational information reporting.

Liaise with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, compliance, data teams, etc) and external auditors, and tax consultants.

Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are established and adhered to, and identify opportunities for improvements.

Monitor monthly cash flow movements and advise the Treasury of any need for intercompany funding or cash replenishment and assistance with settlements.

Assist the Group Financial Controller teams with ad-hoc work and projects.
Qualifications:

At least 8 years of work experience in financial accounting and tax, preferably in a regulated industry with exposure to regulatory reporting;

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and with CPA or local equivalent designation

Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.

Experience with Workday ledger preferred, strong proficiency in MS Office applications and ability to adapt to using various business and data systems.

Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.

Be able to collaborate with remote teams and deal with diversity of regional culture.

Experience in a blockchain, fintech or financial services environment is preferred.

Must be proficient in English and German.
