Finance Accountant

It’s an exciting time to join Consensus (NASDAQ: CCSI). We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our accounting team, normally based in Dublin, working remotely at present. This position will report to the Accounting Manager.

This role will be mainly focused on the preparation of the monthly management accounts, which includes the reconciliation of balance sheet and sub-ledger accounts e.g. AP, AR , Fixed Assets and Cash Management and supporting the year-end audit to a very high standard. In addition to the month end it is expected that the successful candidate would take on various projects for process improvement and automation as part of their role. This role will expose the candidate to both US and local GAAP of various countries, depending on the entities assigned to the candidate. This position will require the candidate to work and communicate with colleagues in various other countries.

• Ensure proper & timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP policies, procedures and internal control standards.
• Calculation, posting and analysis of monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring that all items are accurately captured.
• Preparation and posting of journals in multiple currencies across multiple ledgers.
• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts in a timely manner and following up on any queries to ensure they are accounted for correctly. 
• Assist with the preparation and filing of various tax returns, including VAT, and other relevant statutory filings in Ireland.
• Act as a key point of contact for external auditors (both local and group audits), preparing audit schedules and ensuring all financial records are compliant with statutory requirements and internal policies.
• Review and reconciliation of any other relevant accounting modules.
• Preparation of variance analysis.
• Liaising closely with both the US and Ireland finance teams.
• Support continuous improvement throughout the finance function
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls, leveraging automation and best practices.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Consensus reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

What you will bring to the table…

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2 years minimum General Ledger experience working on month end closes (ie: Journal entries, Reconciliations)
• 1 Year of experience with Oracle fusion or similar ERP accounting system.
• Intermediate excel skills (ie: Vlookups, Pivot Tables) 
• Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar accounting system would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Accounting Principles.
• A team player and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. 
• Experience of international accounting in a US multinational would be advantageous.
• Good business acumen and an ability to work across boundaries and cultures. 
• Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal are essential for this position. 
• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines, within a fast moving environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers.

• US multinational experience

• Location requirements: Fully remote within Ireland

The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits. This job doesn't have an expiration date and will remain open until a qualified candidate is hired.
