The Role

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finacle Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for customizing and enhancing the Finacle Core Banking product, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. This role requires a deep understanding of Finacle's architecture, strong technical skills in scripting and database management, and excellent communication abilities to interact directly with clients.

Software Requirements:

  • Degree or Postgraduate in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of product experience in the Finacle Core Banking product.
  • Proven experience with Finacle 11 requirements and product capabilities, including customization architecture.
  • Experience in handling Finacle interfacing requirements (Custom and Product APIs/Connect 24/Finacle Integrator).
  • Direct client interaction experience is essential.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Customize and enhance the Finacle Core Banking product to meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and implement Finacle customizations, including new menus, reports (MRT & Jasper), and batch jobs.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, security, unit testing, and documentation standards.
  • Research and benchmark Finacle technology against best-in-class technologies to ensure quality and innovation.
  • Participate in Agile methodology practices to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.

Category-wise Technical Skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient understanding of Finacle Product Architecture and Customization layers.
  • Strong knowledge of Finacle customization flow, including EOD-BOD processes and debugging.
  • Advanced skills in Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions), specifically related to Finacle applications.
  • Expertise in Finacle scripting, Unix shell scripting, and report designing.

Functional Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Finacle Core Banking functionalities.
  • In-depth understanding of the banking domain and relevant terminologies.
  • Finacle certification from Infosys is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Finacle CRM and Admin modules (FINFADM/SSOADM).
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and practices.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a focus on the Finacle Core Banking system.
  • Proven track record of successful customization and integration of Finacle products.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Develop and test custom scripts and integrations for the Finacle Core Banking system.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to customizations.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and security practices.
  • Prepare technical documentation and user guides for customizations and integrations.
  • Engage with clients to provide updates and gather feedback on implemented solutions.

  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively share ideas and updates with senior and executive management.
  • Ability to drive projects and initiatives with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality.
