Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Finacle Product Engineer to support and enhance our banking solutions. This role involves customizing, configuring, and integrating the Finacle Core Banking system to meet client requirements. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to implement technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high standards of quality and security. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful delivery of scalable banking applications, supporting our clients’ operational needs and strategic growth initiatives.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
Extensive experience with Finacle 11 core banking product (minimum 5 years)
Finacle customization architecture, including menu, report (MRT & Jasper), batch jobs, and process flows (FI, EOD, BOD)
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle stored procedures, triggers, functions
Knowledge of Finacle scripting and Unix shell scripting
Familiarity with Finacle integrator and API development (Connect 24, Finacle Integrator, Custom APIs)
Experience with report designing tools (Jasper Reports, MRT)
Experience handling Finacle interfacing requirements and API integrations
Understanding of Finacle CRM and Admin modules (FINFADM/SSOADM)
Preferred Skills:
Finacle certification from Infosys
Experience with security practices in banking applications
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices in software development
Exposure to cloud-based deployment of banking applications (optional but advantageous)
Overall Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement customizations and interfaces in the Finacle core banking system
Collaborate with clients to understand and translate banking requirements into technical solutions
Handle integration points with external systems and APIs using Finacle tools
Validate and troubleshoot system processes, reports, and batch jobs to ensure stability and correctness
Maintain system documentation, following best practices for coding, security, and testing standards
Support deployment activities and participate in project planning and status meetings
Identify opportunities for system improvements and propose innovative solutions
Ensure compliance with banking and security standards and contribute to quality assurance activities
Act as a technical point of contact for client interactions regarding Finacle solutions
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages & Scripting:
Essential: SQL, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting
Preferred: Java (for customization or integration scripting), XML/XSLT
Databases/Data Management:
Experience with Oracle database management, stored procedures, triggers, functions
Banking & Finacle Architecture:
Deep understanding of Finacle 11 architecture, customization layers, and modules
Knowledge of Finacle report design and customization (MRT, Jasper Reports)
Familiarity with batch processing, EOD/BOD processes, and debugging techniques
APIs & Integration Tools:
Experience with Finacle Connect 24, Finacle Integrator, and API development
Handling custom and product APIs, API security, and enhancements
Development Tools & Methodologies:
Experience with Agile development practices
Version control and documentation tools
Security & Compliance:
Understanding of banking security standards and data protection practices
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of product experience working with Finacle Core Banking systems
Proven experience with Finacle 11 implementation, customization, and integration
Practical experience in client-facing roles, understanding client needs and translating them into technical solutions
Experience with banking processes, transactions, and terminologies
Prior experience with Finacle modules such as CRM and Admin is preferred; certifications are advantageous
Alternative pathways: Extensive hands-on experience in similar banking core systems or equivalent industry roles
Day-to-Day Activities
Developing and configuring custom menus, reports, batch processes, and UI adjustments within Finacle
Interacting with clients to gather requirements, clarify functionalities, and provide technical guidance
Troubleshooting system issues, debugging scripts, and performing performance tuning
Participating in daily stand-ups and project planning sessions
Validating system integrations, API functionalities, and customization solutions
Producing technical documentation and best practice guidelines
Supporting deployment and post-deployment activities, including defect resolution
Mentoring team members and sharing knowledge on Finacle best practices
Qualifications
Degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or related discipline; equivalent industry experience acceptable
Certifications related to Finacle (preferred but not mandatory)
Demonstrated commitment to continual learning and professional development in banking technology
