About the OCFO Team: 

The Own Controlled Flight Operations (OCFO) team at Maersk is responsible for managing and optimizing our air cargo & charter operations. This team ensures the efficient and effective movement of goods through our own-controlled freighter network, leveraging advanced technologies and real-time data to enhance operational efficiency, visibility, and customer satisfaction. The OCFO team plays a critical role in supporting Maersk's strategic goals and ensuring the company's air cargo operations are top-notch.

Job Description: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Operations Controller to join our OCFO team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations within the OCFO, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks.
  • Lead financial audits and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial operations, preferably within a multinational corporation.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems e.g., SAP, SmartKargo
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
