About the Department
The Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.
Job Responsibilities
A. Financial Information Management (Primary)
- Ensure timely and accurate service delivery to Finance stakeholders in line with SLAs.
- Maintain and govern system configuration; ensure SOPs are current, comprehensive, and adhered to.
- Triage and resolve production issues, incidents, and user queries; drive root‑cause analysis and preventive fixes.
- Translate Finance needs into functional requirements and support UAT (test plan, scripts, execution, sign‑off).
- Liaise with Technology and vendors to implement enhancements and ensure compliance with Finance and regulatory standards.
- Identify and implement process and control improvements to reduce risk and improve cycle time and data quality.
B. Data Engineering (Secondary but critical)
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for Finance datasets across traditional Data Warehouse and Hadoop (Spark, Hive) platforms.
- Optimize data storage, query performance, and reliability for Finance reporting and regulatory submissions.
- Implement data quality checks, reconciliation controls, and lineage aligned to Enterprise Data Governance.
- Partner with Analytics/Reporting teams to provision well‑modeled, governed datasets for dashboards and regulatory templates.
Job Requirements
Competencies
Technical / Functional
- Strong command of SQL, Spark, Hive, and Hadoop‑based tooling.
- Solid understanding of Finance domains (e.g., financial accounting/reporting, performance management, regulatory reporting).
- Working knowledge of data architecture and governance practices.
- Hands‑on experience with requirements management and UAT for Finance systems.
- (Plus) Familiarity with OBIEE / Power BI / Qlik, Moody’s Risk Authority.
Leadership & Behavioral
- Strong ownership for production stability; proactive issue/risk management.
- Clear, concise communication tailored to Finance stakeholders.
- Collaborative, organized, and detail‑oriented; able to influence without authority.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Postgraduate in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- ≥5 years in banking/financial services/consulting with exposure to Finance systems and data engineering.
- Demonstrated experience with SQL, Spark, Hive, and large‑scale datasets across Data Warehouse and Hadoop.
- Proven track record in SLA delivery, SOP governance, UAT, and issue resolution.
