DNI is seeking a Film & Video Editor / Multimedia Specialist to create and edit technical visual media in support of the Science and Technology community, Command, management, and warfighter community at NAWCWD. This senior-level role works with producers or directors to organize footage, synchronize sound, and deliver polished multimedia products, often independently on high-visibility or mission-critical assignments. The position is primarily based at Government facilities in China Lake, California and requires an active Secret clearance.
Responsibilities- Edit moving images on film, video, or other media to produce high-quality technical visual products.
- Work with producers or directors to organize images for final production and synchronize soundtracks with visuals.
- Review, sequence, and assemble raw footage into finished products that meet customer requirements and technical standards.
- Plan, design, and produce technical visual media, including illustrations, animation, visualizations, and photo-enhanced imagery.
- Produce technical illustrations, architectural drawings, engineering concepts, 2D/3D representational drawings, and battlespace scenarios or maps for presentations, reports, manuals, posters, and other media.
- Research and analyze source materials to determine the best technical product approach and develop image or video coverage strategies.
- Provide field photo and video support, manage digital asset filing and storage, and coordinate archiving and retrieval with support staff.
- Work independently on mission-critical projects and, when needed, oversee or direct less senior staff.
- Ensure products meet classification, CUI, OPSEC, public release, and Government IT compatibility requirements.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance required at time of hire and must be maintained throughout contract performance.
- 5+ years of full-time experience in film/video editing, multimedia production, or technical visualization.
- Demonstrated experience editing moving images, synchronizing soundtracks, and producing technical illustrations, animations, visualizations, and photo-enhanced imagery.
- Experience in photography, digital asset management, and overseeing less senior production staff is preferred.
- Experience within DoD or Government visual information environments is advantageous.
- Proficiency with professional film/video editing and multimedia production software, technical illustration and visualization, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365.
- Strong creative judgment, customer focus, and knowledge of CUI handling, OPSEC, public release restrictions, and visual information records procedures.
