Levels:

  • Fill Tech I: basic operation of filling equipment, following SOPs, and performing routine tasks.
  • Fill Tech II: operate multiple machines, perform changeovers, and handle troubleshooting for routine issues.
  • Fill Tech III: can perform complex set-ups, lead troubleshooting, and work with maintenance to improve processes. Considered a subject matter expert, mentoring and training lower-level techs.

 

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting production by operating basic filling equipment under direct supervision. The position focuses on following standard procedures, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. This role is designed for employees beginning their career in manufacturing with opportunities to learn, grow, and advance.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate basic filling and packaging equipment under direct supervision.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform routine equipment cleaning and simple set-ups.
  • Handle raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products carefully.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Accurately complete basic production logs and records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Attention to detail when handling products, labels, and materials.
  • Strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and quality.
  • Dependability and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension for completing production logs.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. independently and heavier loads with assistance.
  • Tolerance for exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and manufacturing environments

 

Information & Compensation & Benefits

Location: Pompano Beach, Florida

Schedule: 1st 6:00 A.M- 2:30 P.M M-F

Pay: This position has a salary range of $18.75. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location

Bonus Pay: Meridian offers an incentive plan for 2025 focused on safety, quality, and financial metrics. Eligible employees have the opportunity to earn up to $1,520 a year, with earned payments distributed quarterly throughout the year.
