THE ROLE: Sous Chef 

  • Salary of $116,462 + 12% Superannuation 

  • Work a 14:7 Roster (living/working on site for 2 weeks, committing to 12 -hour days, and having one week home for what matters most) 

  • Fly from Perth and be transported to one of our villages in WA 

  • As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly. You will oversee the kitchen team in the preparation, production, and service of food, ensuring that all kitchen areas maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Your commitment to excellence will ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality meals

ABOUT YOU: 

  • Australian recognized Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or Trade Certificate (NVQ Level 4 and City & Guilds accepted) 

  • 5 + years post-trade or commercial cooking experience 

  • 2 + years experience supervising and managing of a team 

  • Demonstrated expertise in high-volume bulk and batch cookery (FIFO experience is highly desirable) 

  • Understanding of and adherence to workplace safety and compliance standards, ensuring safe practices for self, colleagues, property and the correct operation of equipment and manual handling 

  • A working knowledge of ordering, storing, preparing and delivering food with attention to detail 

  • Experience in Workplace Health & Safety requirements including HACCAP principles 

  • Valid working rights in Australia for the next 12 months (sponsorshipNOTavailable) 

  • Confidently pass a pre-employment medical (so we can keep you safe whilst working long hours in remote conditions)
