THE POSITION
This role is designated as match day-only and includes participation in a select number of required training sessions scheduled ahead of the tournament. Reporting organizationally to the Fan Operations Venue Lead, the Gate Supervisor will be a key member of the FIFA26 Fan Operations team, and work in close collaboration with other key individuals responsible for delivering a seamless fan experience from the Last Mile to the Stadium.
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Gate Supervisor for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Responsible for the match day management of assigned Fan Operations Volunteers including being the first point of contact for questions, coordinating deployments and breaks, ensuring their welfare as well as collecting and providing feedback
- Provide regular reports and updates to Fan Operations Coordinator regarding the performance and status of the gate operations and volunteers
- Observe any crowd flow issues and raise accordingly. Communicate necessary action to volunteers.
- Monitor gate operations to ensure adherence to security and access control procedures and raise concerns accordingly to Fan Operations Venue Lead
- Collaborate with security, operations and management teams to improve processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues and maintain positive relationships
- Provide clear information and wayfinding to fans entering the stadium and assist with issue resolution

- Bachelor’s degree
- Must be available for all matches at the venue
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with security regulations and best practices
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism
Work Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a gate services or related department
- Proven track record of effectively leading and managing teams, experience managing volunteers is an asset
- Experience working and collaborating with large teams
Languages
- Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools.
