Based at our Oxford Street Campus in Sydney, this full-time role is ideal for a community services professional who is passionate about student success, stakeholder engagement, and developing the next generation of industry professionals.

About the Role

As the Fieldwork Placement Supervisor, you will act as a key link between students, placement organisations, and the College, helping to ensure students have a positive and successful placement experience.

Working closely with the Course Coordinator and Placement Team, you will provide guidance, support, and monitoring throughout the placement process while fostering strong relationships with industry and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, placement providers, and community stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary liaison between students, host organisations, and the College during placements.
  • Conduct placement liaison meetings to monitor student progress, provide support, and address concerns.
  • Support students with placement requirements, learning goals, and assessment expectations.
  • Assess and grade placement-related student work.
  • Identify and escalate placement issues to ensure timely support and intervention.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support regulatory and compliance requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Post-Graduate Degree in an area related to community work, social welfare, human services, social work or related roles.
  • Minimum three year’s broad and relevant practical experience (post-qualification) in the community services industry.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting student learning and success.

Desirable

  • Experience in higher education, student placements, or workplace learning environments.
  • Experience supporting international and culturally diverse students.
  • Knowledge of InPlace, Moodle, or RTO Manager.
  • Experience in student assessment, supervision, or mentoring.
