We’re now looking for a driven and experienced Field Sales Manager – to lead our sales team across the Southern region. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Business Development Executives (BDEs), while maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and suppliers. Your Role as Field Sales Manager – South

Your Purpose:

·         Lead and develop the BDM/BDE team across the South region.

·         Ensure sales and profitability targets are consistently achieved.

·         Maintain and grow strategic key accounts.

·         Be the link between performance, people, and customer success in your region.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Manage and support the BDM/BDE team through performance reviews, coaching, and clear goal setting.

·         Use reporting tools to identify gaps, supplier opportunities, and profit improvement areas.

·         Drive sales and margin growth to meet regional and company targets.

·         Conduct regular account and performance reviews with team members and the Commercial Director.

·         Maintain responsibility for key customers in your area.

·         Foster strong partnerships with Tier 1 suppliers; attend joint customer visits where needed.

·         Represent Oprema at trade shows and quarterly sales meetings.

·         Provide monthly reports and insights to the Commercial Director.

·         Actively grow your own portfolio of customers alongside your leadership responsibilities.

People Management:

·         Ensure consistent tracking of KPIs and performance reports across your team.

·         Hold monthly 1:1s to coach, guide, and inspire.

·         Approve and monitor expenses.

·         Lead from the front—instilling a positive, accountable, and team-first culture.

·         Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.

·         Adjust team structure and workflows to meet business needs.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Experience:

·         Strong field sales background with proven experience 3+ years in the Electronic security distribution sector or a similar industry.

·         Proven leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams.

Key Skills & Attributes:

·         Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.

·         Strong data analysis skills with the ability to convert insights into action.

·         Clear communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

·         Ambitious, driven, and eager to develop both self and others.

·         Collaborative and strategic—able to think commercially while leading compassionately.

Desirable:

·         Formal sales or leadership training/qualifications.

·         Experience using Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar platforms.


What You’ll Get:

·         Basic Salary - £70k – £80K (OTE £120k)

·         25 days’ holiday (rising to 27 after 3 years) + Bank Holidays. Option to buy/sell up to 3 days per year.
