Fields Sales Engineer for In-Process
The position
We are currently looking for a Field Sales Engineer for our team. The position will be based in Tokyo, Japan.
Our this position will be responsible for customer development and management for accounts in In-Process (mainly In-Product and Process solution).
You will join our dedicated Japan sales department supporting business growth in industry measurement solution.
Primary responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the field sales of the entire portfolio of sensors, amplifiers, DAQ and software for scale manufacturers, system integrators, engineering company and distributers.
Your daily work includes:
- Sales activities to achieve revenue goals and other objectives, promotion and sales of load cell, strain gauge including optical, force, torque, displacement pressure sensors, microphone, accelerometer, amplifiers, DAQ and software
- Customer relationship management, maintain relationship with existing customers including SCPs (Sales Channel Partner) and/or distributers, seek and develop new business opportunities, new effective partners.
- Carry out technical communications with customers, demonstrate products, show unique selling point and try to win the opportunities
- Generate ideas and solutions by making connections with diverse customers, markets and processes, assist clients in system configuration, product selection and others (training, trouble shooting)
- Sales process management, i.e. leads, opportunities, closing, forecasting, pipeline, delivering and accounting
- Collect market and industry information, analysis, make a strategy and provide your insights.
Professional qualifications
You hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in science and engineering such as mechanics, automation, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, electromechanical engineering, measurement and control technology and instrument.
Further you have min. 5 years of documented experience with sensors and measurement instruments, automation and control, signal acquisition and processing, industrial process control, or test and measurement.
Personal skills
- Proven track record of sales performance in related industry
- Technical background and experience in selling technical products to customers
- Excellent in commercial understanding, communication and business negotiation
- Willing to business trip frequently
- Honest and trustworthy, strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation, good hand work, good team work,
- Good speaking and writing in English, ability to read technical documentation
- IT knowledge (Microsoft® Office, CRM, etc.)
